Hello everyone, when I turned on my computer the numbering was no longer zero as I had shown before.
I think it happened when I turned off the computer and then turned it on when I woke up.
Or it updated the interface after a few minutes after I posted the image previously.
It makes more sense, and avast always asks you to restart after updating the program (even if it’s a micro-update or an emergency update).
By the way, I too had 2 updates in one week for the latest version 24.12.
Both times I was asked to restart.
Do you know of any place where I can send suggestions to the Avast team so they can look into it and, if possible, implement it in future versions?
If you know, leave the link so I can take a look.
This version still has bugs.
VPSUPD still doesn’t work. What good is creating upsupd if it doesn’t start? Hasn’t worked since Avast24.10
No report file from created Custom scan, and no option to add it.
No option to install in folder other than \Avast Software
Thanks for reporting, we are currently working on this fixing the Avast Password Manager Firefox extension - recovery key download failure issue.
Funny aside but the program version and UI versions in Norton 360 are now Avast. They fried the Norton community with their latest version update. Guess it seemed like a good idea but the implementation was very shoddy. Hope that doesn’t bleed back into Avast branded products.
Are the New version topics no longer pinned to the top?
Hi @lukas.hasik, appreciate if you can share latest offline installer for version 24.12.
The link at the top by Lukas for the off-line installer will always download the latest Avast version.
Avast doesn’t have a source for old versions.
I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
There are some sites that retain old versions of programs, from memory, filehippo.com is one.
Hello @shahir2a, the installer always installs the latest version. For offline installers it may be a different and it will install the version that you have downloaded.
However, what is your reasoning for the 24.12 version? It will try to update to the latest available release version after installation anyway.
Hi Lukas,
My organisation somehow filter vpn connectivity based on AV version, they do not include version more than 24 yet, thus I’m unable to connect to vpn.
understood. Some of the Enterprise VPN check the presence of the AV. Intersting news is that they check version. Let me sync with support team if they are storing the old version in some location…
Hi, below you can find links for the offline installer 24.12:
- Avast Premium Security: Offline setup - Avast Premium Security
- Avast Free Antivirus: Offline setup - Avast Free Antivirus
Please note that after downloading these installers, you may need to temporarily disconnect the computer from the internet to prevent the new update 25.1 from being applied automatically.
When the installation finishes, enable manual updates in - Menu - General - Update - More options.
You can then reconnect the system to the internet.
Dear @prokopes_ I can confirm that the installer is working and I can use the vpn now, it will be temporary measure until the whitelist is updated. Many thanks for your help and @lukas.hasik much appreciated
