DEEPFAKE PROTECTION

:globe_with_meridians: Deepfake detection now supports multiple languages — English, Spanish, French, German, and Czech — so the protection engine can analyse content spoken in your language.

:high_voltage: Deepfake auto-scan is now intelligently enabled or disabled based on your device’s hardware, so the feature only activates when your PC can run it without affecting performance.

:camera_with_flash: QR code scanning within Deepfake protection now respects your Windows screen capture privacy settings — if you have chosen to be notified when apps take screenshots, QR scanning is automatically paused.

WEB SHIELD — AI AGENT SAFETY

:robot: Web Shield can now monitor and protect network traffic from AI coding assistants such as Cursor and VS Code with Copilot, helping guard against threats introduced through AI-assisted workflows.

:bell: When a threat is detected in AI agent traffic, the alert now identifies which AI tool was involved, making security warnings easier to understand.

:repeat_button: Improved threat handling ensures a single detection no longer permanently blocks an AI tool from reconnecting — the block clears quickly so your workflow can resume.

STABILITY

:bug: Fixed an issue that could cause Web Shield to stop responding when processing certain application network connections.

:bug: Fixed a problem where AI agent network scanning could remain active after being turned off in settings, requiring a service restart to take effect.

COMPATIBILITY

:bug: Resolved crashes affecting Avast components when running alongside other Avast products on Windows 24H2 and 25H2 builds.

:bug: Fixed an issue where the app could show an inconsistent activation state following a product version upgrade.

How is there a 26.4 release when current version is already 26.5?

This link downloads a v26.5 not v26.4 Free offline installer !

Yes the online link will always download the current version, as you say in this case 26.5.
Which most if not all of the respondents will already have :smiley:

Release notes for version, which cannot be installed anymore…

“Download links always link to the latest version” means you can download “latest at the time” version even when no release notes posted.
You may have to keep these offline installers when new release available; if you really want to select versions you use, why not?

Even if you have offline installer and you are connected to the internet, latest version will be installed. You have to disconnect your internet first, if you want to use older version.

I guess we now just wait for Release Notes for V26.5.
