New Virus Threat???

Hi to everyone, Avast located a virus in C:\Users***\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\HO8YEPYI\PestControllAuthBot[1].exe

Avast is able to send it to the chest but unable to delete it (even on a boot scan), I have had some experience in manually deleting virus/worm programs from the registry but on searching on the net there is no reference to PestControllAuthBot[1].exe

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Markov

Empty your temp files and

Check your computer for Malware with

Malwarebytes Antimalware http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
after install click UPDATE and run quick scan, click on REMOVE SELECTED to quarantine anything found

SUPERAntiSpyware http://filehippo.com/download_superantispyware/
Are cookies really spyware and are they dangerous?

If anything is found come back and post the scan logs here

Thanks Pondus,

I ran superspy and removed all the keys from my registry; it seems to have cured the problem

Regards and thanks again…

I recomend also to run MBAM as this is usually the one with best detection…
