You could also have had a look at the virus list:
start Avast > Menu > Virus List
Maslan(-A) was added to the vps on 6 December 2004, even 1 day before it was discovered according to Symantec

David, he said Maslan-A not C and A was added on the date I mentioned.
Yeah, I didn’t go looking any deeper for maslan-a when I found that maslan-c was already in the VPS.
