Newbie questions

Hello, I recently got Avast! Premier (2014.9.0.2021), but I have some questions. I use Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and MBAM Premium as well. So my questions are:

  1. I installed Avast Premier and noticed that windows firewall was still on. Is this how it should work or should i disable it myself?
  2. Same as the first one, windows defender was on as well. Should I disable it?

Yes, disable both windows firewall and defender.
