This isn't exactly the way I'd like to share this news but there isn't really a good way. Some of you know, I've struggled with serious family health issues for the past few years. Thanks to the support from many and her positive attitude my wife has overcome many challenges. Not surprisingly, my own health has been impacted and it poses some unknowns in the near future. While long term expectations are positive, the time I expected to devote to WinPatrol this year will be limited.
I have initiated talks to transfer permanent control and operation of WinPatrol. I hope this will happen soon so there isn't a disruption in support and services to existing WinPatrol fans.
I am still open to other innovative ventures especially those who can offer WinPatrol fans additional protection. You might be surprised at how little it would cost to be a successful software provider with an established brand. I expect who ever takes advantage of this opportunity will be someone I would recommend and I will be available as needed.
Until I find some one who appreciates the WinPatrol fan base I will continue business as usual including the beta of a 64 bit version as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Bill Pytlovany
Hope it all works out for Bill P
WinPatrol is an excellent program and I’ve used it since forever. I’d hate to see it get gobbled up
Windows 98 and WinPatrol where a good combination.
It’s still a great combination with Windows 8.1.1.
It also enhances the rest of the security programs you currently run.
Sad to hear that Bill is still having family health issues and I hope all goes well for him and the family.
I’d certainly like to see him continue his involvement in this product.
I do use WinPatrol due to its low impact in resources. Maybe avast! could bought it ;D
Wouldn’t use my PC without the blue dog being there.Hope things work out for you in both health and wealth.
Avast! and WinPatrol? If avast! does buy it, then that makes more sense than promoting, say, GrimeFighter, IMO.
Grimefighter can be replaced by things like adwcleaner honestly. I’ve never used winPatrol, but hopefully it works out.
I am not a WinPatrol user and I realize many people do run it though.
I’m sorry to hear about Bill’s problems. My heart and prayers pour out to him.

Why not ??? ;) Did you know that even the free version protects you against Ransomware ???
That is only one of it's many benefits. :)
