I’m brand new to avast
using avast home
all seems to be Working fine except alerts page
i tried setting up email and messenger alerts
with messenger when i test i get unknown error
with email Alerts I’m told message cannot be sent because the connection was actively terminated
anyone know why
if these alerts are not set will i get any indication of problems

how about messenger
all i get is unknown error
only info i can see to input is my messenger address
ive set up winpopup alert
tested ok but nothing seen

If I understand correctly, you’re having a problem sending messages to another computer on a network after installing avast!
The problem is with Windows’ Messenger Service and Winpopup:
