No cure for this after all this time...

Hello malware users,

If you do not want your FF or Flock browser to bite the dust within 20 seconds, go there with NoScript installed, in that case nothing happens: http://lcamtuf.coredump.cx/ffoxdie_orig.html

It does not hurt the browser, it just nukes it. It has been around quite some time now, and the coders did not come up with a fix, and their eyes are filled with shameful tears. It is a pointer that confuses the browser kernel. It should be cured with traverse code in NsINode, but no-one has come up with that up to now…

It does some weird stuff to IE7 also.

Hi marc57,

See how IE is reacting on this one: http://lcamtuf.coredump.cx/focusbug/ieversion.html

I went to that site and nothing happened ???

Using “Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20060601 Firefox/2.0.0.3 (Linux Mint)” and I don’t have NoScript installed.

No cure for this after all this time

Are you sure about that ?

Hey polonus,

Followed the directions and Nothing happens at all. I don’t know if it’s because of IE7 or Vista or Both.

The first site you listed (for firefox) just made IE7 freeze for about 5 seconds but It recovered after that.

Hi FastGame,

You are not on windows, that is all,
