No Icons In Taskbar

I do not have any icons for Avast in my taskbar. why?

Probably a bad installation…
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove
Then choose Repair function in the pop up window (Repair).

Do you have any other antivirus installed in your computer?
Did you have in the past? Which one?

Which is your operational system?

I have S.O. Windows 2000 pro

I had Norton 2004 professional but I have removed. I have used Control Panel < Add/Remove programs > Norton 2004> remove.

I have windows XP home, no other antivirus on computer.

Tried the repair in control panel, did not work.

Look for a user named RejZor on this board. In his signature he has a link to the AEC (Avast’s External Control) util. Use that to get the icons back.
