No internet connection

Not sure why I am having a problem. I do nut run a proxy. Not sure why this program I’ve heard such great things about is giving me an issue.

I have installed this on 2 different computers and having the same issue. I simply am connected directly to my my Linksys router. I turned off my macafee firewall and windows xp firewall.

Installed Avast and bam no internet connection. I can’t even connect to my router. I tried opt in as well as opt out options as stated and can’t do squat. Thanks for the help. Guess I’ll have to go with Norton.

Make sure your browser is not set to “Work Offline” (this option is generally in the File menu). If it doesn’t help, try switching the proxy settings from “Auto-detect” to “No proxy”.

Left click the avast icon > Settings
Update (Basic) > Details > Proxy

Anyway, better if you can ‘delete’ avast entries from McAfee firewall and allow all of them again when it asks so.
