No license key..

I purchased a new license yesterday afternoon and as of yet haven’t been sent my license key. Additionally, despite purchasing a license I still get nags to install Chrome… Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

Try the Resend avast License https://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.

Thanks for the quick reply… Tried it this is what I got back as a response… Note, I do see the payment was received on Paypal account.

Dear customer,

we are sorry, but our records show no valid purchases with the e-mail address you specified.

Please make sure the information you supplied is correct, and the original purchase was carried out using this email address.

If you purchased your license from an Avast reseller please contact the reseller directly (http://www.avast.com/locate-dealer).

Best regards,

the Avast team

Very likely you have misspelled your email when buying a license.
Submit a ticket to avast and ask them to have a look.
https://support.avast.com

Did that as well yesterday, still no reply…

Have patience.
avast is trying to handle tickets within 10 business days.
Do not create a new one or change the existing one as that will put you back to the bottom of the stack (FiFo system)

I read the reply window was 24 hours, more reasonable than 10 business days… In any case, I’ll hold on and wait for them to contact me.

Does your ISP or Mail server or your email program have an anti-spam function ?
If so check your spam folder to see if it has been sent there.

used Gmail account for the purchase and I did check the spam folder it isn’t there… From the auto response it’s clear that my email address is as of yet not connected to the license I purchased. Not sure how that can be remedied, we’ll wait and see what support have to say.

Hi f_mauro,

I just fixed your email address and had the order confirmation email resent to you.

It seem to happen quit a lot that people make a mistake when typing their email address.

Perhaps a idea to have them type it twice and if they are not the same not continue with the order,
or sending a email to the provided email address with a link they need to click on to confirm the address before they can continue with the order.

I submitted a ticket yesterday to have the order canceled and a refund issued, I’m not interested in Avast product any longer…

Keep in mind, typically 7-10 Business days to complete process.

and you’ve articulated just one of the reasons why I’m not interested in Avast’s products.

The original problem was your fault, how can you expect Avast to know that you entered the wrong e-mail… It was rectified within 24 hours though
