no menu icon in Ubuntu

The deb package of Avast for Linux doesn’t add any icon to the system applications menu.
Probably it’s because it’s not properly packaged. The deb package says it was generated with alien (converted from rpm).

These commands will install avast!'s icons & links into the Application > Accessories > avast! Antivirus menu.

cd /usr/lib/avast4workstation/share/avast/desktop && sudo ./install-desktop-entries.sh install

Hmm , thanks Tech for the Commands . When I first installed Avast! on PCLinusOS I found the Avast gui .exe and simply placed an Icon on the Desktop . Be interested to see if I can put Avast! in the system applications menu in pclos with these commands .
