no net access after avast install

after I installed avast i lost net access, avast updated,but explorer,e-mail and all would not talk to net
please help

Sounds like your firewall is blocking access for ashWebSv.exe Web Shield and ashMaiSv.exe avast email scanner.

What is your firewall ?

the firewall makes no difference on or off still no net access until I turn avast off :slight_smile:

Can you get email?

nothing else will work unless I turn avast off

Can you be more detailed, as in what are the exact error messages you get with trying to get email, etc.
