I used to have sounds when avast was updated i would get the voice telling me avast virus database has been updated, i now get teh little blue pop up but no voice… anyone know why this is happening and how i can fix it?

Check if you deactivated the sounds in the settings:
Rightclick the avast-symbol in the taskbar → Program settings → Sounds
If you have ticked the “Deactivate avast! sounds…” remove the check…
If there you haven’t ticked it click on “Settings” or “Customize” or however it is called in the English version…
Scroll down to the avast! antivirus section → automatic update and see if a sound has been set…
