I downloaded and install avast free antivirous and asked AVAST for a free key through the programm. Unfortunately the key that AVAST send me doesn’t work. I tried to do offline registration by inserting the key that AVAST provide me and i get the following message: Τo C85727397H1200A0816-UUK0HRVY δεν είναι έγκυρο κλειδί άδειας. That’s in the Greek language. In English it means the C85727397H1200A0816-UUK0HRVY is not a valid key. I have asked for another code in two other email adresses that i own and when i’m trying to apply the keys that AVAST have send me i get the same message. I 've even did a clean install off my operating system in a new, unused hard disk drive. The problem still remain. I saw the same problem in 8 different pc’s that my company has.Please advise me what to do.

I´d followed the offline registration procedur from the faq exactly and still getting an invalid regsitration code per email.
I don’t think you can use activation code offline. If you want to use offline activation, you need to get yourself a license file. Another reason that comes to my mind that you are trying to use mismatching installer (Internet Security with Premier activation code etc.).
i installed avast free and clicked on the settings->registration->offline registration in the avast free, which sended me to the avast-site where i filled out the form correctly.Minutes later my email with the key arrived.
Sorry, I confused registration (of avast! Free) with activation (paid). Online registration does not require any key and it is preferred to offline registration. No idea about offline registration, I’ll have to test it when I get to the office.
No problem, it was confusing for me, too.
Had the problem since months, then i gave up months ago.
These days i thought, try again, maybe this key work.Sadly not and the problem resists.

I just re-installed the latest avast free version and registered for the key. The key was then sent to my email account but on installing the key it says it’s not valid. This is a key generated by the avast system but for some reason the same system won’t valid it? Something is wrong and I wish someone paid attention to it. I see old posts on this thread meaning it’s been an issue for some time now and yet no solution?? Pick up your socks guys. Just coz you have the best AV doesn’t give you license to allow such small bugs existence. I’m a big fan of your work so don’t let me down. Please fix it.
Why don’t you register within the interface itself?
Avast will give you a button to register and do it without the need to manage it via email.
Which version of avast! are you installing?
