Hello!
I badly need help with this issue.
Whenever i try to uninstall or update my avast , i’m getting this error prompt “The stub cannot run installer/updater executable c:\program files\avast software\avast\setup\sfx\avast.setup (code 0x10b)”
I tried to follow what was done on this topic " https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=168069.0 " but i did not proceed on doing the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool fix because i think the code that was put is different.
Can anyone help me with this please?

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of AVG…!!
→ https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle
Then:
Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
Reboot.
