Not sure if i am currently infected or not

Usually when avast detects a virus it would display a message in yellow background the name of the virus on the bottom right side of my screen. Then USUALLY it would give me a prompt on what to do: Abort connection or just cancel. I ALWAYS do the abort connection no matter what to prevent any more threats from entering my computer.
But this time, while just surfing a website which i normally think would be safe to go on, i was hit with a virus. The usual yellow box on the bottom right side popped up but this time it did not give me a prompt on whether i should abort it or not. Did avast successfully block the virus?
I check my network shield and the infected count is currently 1. The file that was last infected is the following:
onlinetrafficstats.in/in.cgi?2
That’s all it says, i highlight it and there’s no more text after that.
Does anyone know if this is something i can safely ignore or should i really do a full system scan?

Also, when this happens, and when i say this i mean a pop up on the bottom right but avast does not give me a prompt to abort or cancel, is it safe to say that avast auto blocks it or does it really mean that avast failed to block it?

Don’t worry, if you saw a pop-up, avast blocked it. (There’s an option to view the last pop-up)

Ah ok thank you.
How do you view the last pop-up though?
Also i use the “avast! Log viewer” to see recent virus attacks on my computer. It usually records them but this time the virus i mentioned above was not recorded on the log so i can’t give much detail about it. I just hope you are right that avast successfully blocked it.

How do you view the last pop-up though?
right click the orange tray icon.....

Check your computer for Malware with

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
always run update before you scan, so you have the lates database
click the remove selected button to quarantine anything found
if anything is detected you may post the scan log here

I forgot to mention that I’m still using avast 4.8 home edition free antivirus. It has doesn’t have an orange tray icon, only 2 blue ball icons, one blue i icon which is VRDB generation, and one blue a icon which is the actual antivirus program. Again, the only thing i have going here for me to see past recent virus attacks is from the log viewer, but as i said before, this is one of those times where it wasn’t recorded on the log.

You’re welcome…!
If you fear an infection, follow Pondus’ advice and run Mbam.
Further you should update to 5.0.594, if your OS allows it…
