Not sure what the issue(s), if any, are

Well, I thought this unit was clean until the trash can just disappeared into nowhere off of the desktop. I continually get this error message regarding USB drive which I also attached. Seems like the problem is more pronounced when the unit is moved or the computer screen is closed sometimes at least to a 45 degree angle.

Unit is: Toshiba Satellite A305D, Windows Vista Home Premium SP2, 3 MB Ram, 184 GB and 123 GB, MS Security Essentials, Windows Firewall, added unchecky and crypto prevent when I thought there was not a problem. This is my niece unit. I have not noticed anything else strange. The unit really runs fast. Boot’s up normally.

Therefore, I think it is not a bad idea to take a look.

I have included the scan for MCShields as well.
can you copy and paste it as it is not readable

Looks nice and clean

To get the recycle bin back

1.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2.Click Appearance and Personalization, click Personalization, and then click Change desktop icons.
3.Click to select the Recycle Bin check box, and then click OK.

The USB problem may well be a loose connection

I did resolve that issue by looking it up on the web, but it hasn’t happened often (iif ever in my computer life) so I wanted to make sure that there was no funny stuff going on. I think you are right about the USB issue since I noticed that the error message listed will occur sometimes with just the movement of the unit WITHOUT any USB connected flash drive etc. I don’t really care for Toshibas but I have to admit that this unit has the best sound system I’ve ever experienced in a laptop. It is annoying but if I were them I would either get it fixed or just ignore it. Other than it being a Vista unit, it is worth keeping.
