Can I add them back into Bank Mode (these utilities are included with Windows), or was there a security issue that caused them to be removed?
C:\WINDOWS\system32\calc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\notepad.exe

Please post your Diagnostic Information output. You can get it by visiting this link: secure://settings/diagnosticInfo
For problems with Bank Mode, also attach szb.log which is located here: C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log
Thank you, Asyn, for responding.
My question is pretty simple: Are these two programs still normally included in bank mode in Windows 10? (If so, I’ll add them back in.)
C:\WINDOWS\system32\calc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\notepad.exe
Thank you…
Notepad works. Calc even when added does not work. It brings up a google search.
I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that calc dates back to 2011 and really hasn’t been updated?
I’ve alerted Avast and asked for their help. Let’s see if that works.
This is because calc is a Windows 10 app (modern UI) and notepad is not.
We are sorry, this will be fixed in future after Bank Mode redesign. Solution now is to add an alternative app or use web calculator.
Great! Thank you, Bob and Ondrejz. Most helpful.
You’re welcome.

Thank you, Bob! CalcTape is great! “a vast” improvement.
Always happy to help.
The Pro version is actually very inexpensive.
