Notepad Light false positive ??

I have the free version of NotPad Light from Fookes Software. When I try to open it, Avast says

You are opening an application that may be potentially unsafe.
We strongly recommend opening this application in the virtual environment of the avast sandbox to avoid any risk to your computer.

ACTIONS TO TAKE

I just started to get this yesterday. No other programs get this message. I have the full Avast Internet Security. The computer is a “safe” computer as I only have access to it and it is not used for anything except eBay. No downloads, no file sharing, no email except eBay email accounts, very limited use on the Internet.

I received this error one time before when Avast sent out a bad virus update and many programs on my computer were flagged as bad. This was a big “scandal” at Avast as many valid programs were deleted by Avast because of this bad update last year. So I reluctant to believe the NotePad Light program is at fault.

I am going to run a virus scan of my computer now to see what is detected.

Hi,
This sandbox utility helps you to run suspicious applications with avast which will help your computer from any harm from that application.
The “Action to take” option allows you to choose the action.

My suggestions:

1.If you trust that Notepad software, choose “Open Normally” and also don’t forget to check the “Remember my selection for this program” check box.

2.If you are unsure, then choose the option,“Open in Sandbox”,
if it performs well without any problems, then follow the suggestion 1, or else don’t use that program.

Thanks

Did you update to the latest version, 6.2?
