O&O Defrag Pro and Avast! Pro problem

Whenever I run O&O Defrag Pro to defrag, and if Avast! 4 Pro is on at the same time, O&O produces a “checkdisk error” and thus can’t continue defragging my main drive.

On the partitioned half however, the checkdisk goes through and the drive is defragged.

If I turn Avast! OFF, then the checkdisk goes through and everything is defragged properly on the main HD.

is this a known issue?

i guess this is a known issue then.

Turning Avast OFF really isn’t a solution speciallyw hen you have your defrag utility on scheduled defragmentation.

hope this is addressed on next release.

I use O&O Defrag Pro and Avast 4 free edition with no problem. Must be something to do with the Pro version of avast

Actually it’s related to NTFS partitions. It’s always been working perfectly on FAT/FAT32 volumes, just NTFS partitions were causing problems. Fortunately, even this has been resolved (as discussed in the other thread).

Oh yes I see. I have the aswmon2.sys file hence no problem.
