Avast or Avg?

Same company - different skin - underlying code would be pretty much the same.

But as always, insufficient information to give a detailed answer. Avast & AVG have multiple products and you don’t say what you are comparing, apples/oranges.

@Pondus, Mostly scanning.

As DavidR mentioned…underlying code is the same, so scanning is the same.

Yepp as said, scan engine and virus signatures are identical

In short, identical,on the inside, different on the outside
