Offline program updates

Hello, I didn’t find this unswer :

offline virus database update is great in case a computer has no internet access.

my question is : to update main program too ( and still offline ), I should :

         Step 1 : download latest avastsetup .exe to my usb key

         Step 2 : uninstall previous Avast program

         Step 3 : install new avastsetup .exe ?

( i.e. is step 2 mandatory ? or can I just do .exe install, and avast will perform a perfect program update
all by itself ? )

No, you don’t need to uninstall the previous version. Just run the avast setup exe file.
