At work i use Avast Homes edition and it is the best anti-virus that i have worked with so far.
My pc at home though is vulnerable to viruses. It is NOT connected to the net, but i fear i get viruses via downloads or infected files i get from work.
How can i run anvast on my pc at home without the internet?

At work you should NOT be using the "Home Edition" because it is for use at "home",
not in a commercial environment. It says quite clearly on the Avast website :
"avast! 4 Home Edition is a full-featured antivirus package designed exclusively for home users and non-commercial use. Both of these conditions should be met! "

Download the setup file and install at that computer, register avast (for Home only, not for work).
Use the http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/vpsupd.exe file to update avast regulary
