hi you have to call your access code, then disable the protection. then it’ll be visible again.

Hi…I changed my sim and every day 100’s of sms are going to the friends numbers I had given…My balance is unnessesarily getting reduced…And I’m not able to uninstall this as I cannot find the installation file…Please HELP…I’m using Nokia 5800 XM…Thank you in advance.

to uninstall, dial your access code like a normal phone number and disable Theft Aware. you’ll then find it in the app manager.

hi,

I have the same problem also.

I tried the launch the UI using sms but it did not work (however, lock and unlock works).
After that, the N8 no longer response to sms command.
When i key in the code on the dial pad to deactivate, it no longer reponses to it.
I still can’t see the entry for uninstalling.

please help

Dear Customer,

To uninstall Theft Aware open it, deactivate Theft Aware and now you see Theft Aware in the list of your apps and can uninstall it.
If you think you already uninstalled it - but it still seems to be on the phone please install this package on your
phone: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27553331/RescueFile.sis - this will give you an icon in the app
menu again with which you can launch Theft Aware. Then deactivate Theft Aware and uninstall it.

Hello,

I installed the theftaware app on my Nokia E51. I have now been given a new phone so I switched my cared to the new phone, only to realise that I forgot my pass code so I cannot use another card in the old phone, or even put back the old card in the old phone! How can I get my pass code?

Rgds,
Raymond

On Nokia, there is no way to recover the password. You’ll have to reset.
