It is nice to have the Dr. Web online scanner at: http://online.drweb.com/?url=1 fill in the address of the site or hyperlink and scan online with their service. Also nice to have it at your website, see the script there.
Another question to the forum members. Dr Web CureIT utility is a downloadable free service. According to me while it is not resident, it is fully compatible with Avast. Anyone can comment.

The strong point of Dr. Web scanners is their good update rate, just second place after Kaspersky’s. I have the browser plug in link checker of theirs now for a couple of months, and I think this service is amazing and adding security. More info here: http://old.antivir.ru/english/www_av/
Thanks for link to Dr,Web cure it, as it’s not a bad idea to have non resident scanner. I’m tired of using online scanners. I’m downloading it at the moment.
Thanks for that Polonus
I have the Firefox Dr.Web link checker ‘Plugin’ and find it’s an essential “Right Click” tool for checking links. I installed it after you recommended it recently.
On demand scanner… :o have to have that !
Yes Polonus thanks for the tip on the browser plugin, i used it before (when you first mentioned it ) on mozilla suite but since then i switched to Opera and i didn’t even know that it will run on Opera but after following the instructions on the site and some manual editing on standard_menu.ini i managed to get it working… ;D
I know you had it in you. And I know this little in-browser tool is just a thing other AV products do not have, only 10 K of install, and a lot of on-line scanner on a server, that has the second best definition upload rate. Off course they “w Petersburgu” also have their benefits: getting samples of malicious code with the sites it is originating from, so this function for them as a kind of honeynet.
I still think this was very clever or shall we say : “sprytnie”. If I use there online virus scanner here: http://online.drweb.com/ for a program, it gives me information on the packers, a resumé on all the packet files, all the code, and additional information. Chapeau! Dr.Web. Naboj!
WOW you’re right Damian this online scanner rocks , you get much more info on what is being scanned, this one is going straight to the bookmarks hihi ;D
