Opening the Virus Chest freezes the Avast window. Apex a false positive?

I don’t remember when was the last time I opened the virus chest… However, today, after Avast giving a most probably fake positive on Apex Legends, I tried accessing it.

The moment I open the Virus Chest

  • the window is slow to show up
  • it states the chest is empty
  • none of the buttons on the window work and the only way to close it on screen is the task bar

Is that a known problem? When will it be fixed?

Repair Avast:

  1. Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
  2. Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.
