Opera.exe quarantined even after exception added, can anyone help?
There really isn’t much to work with here.
Such as the circumstances it was detected ?
I have Opera as a fall back browser, but haven’t used it, in some time - I have just run it and it Opened, Updated and no issue with Avast alerting.
Where exactly did you add the exception, and what exception exactly did you add?
Sorry, should have added a bit more.
It is Pegasus Opera, the accounting software. We have always been aware that we need to add an exception for the client program as AVG wouldn’t like it, but one of our users has had AVG quarantine the program three times in the last week.
Each time I have “restored and added exception”, but it keeps happening.
I have now set AVG to ask before it quarantines anything.
Any ideas why it keeps happening if the exception is in place?
A screenshot of the Avast/AVG Alert with the see Details option selected.
If you restored it and added an exception, something other than the file is being alerted on.
Whilst a lot of the underlying code in AVG is actually Avast code (the two are part of the larger Gen-Digital group, so some code could be used in other products).
If you are using the AVG Antivirus - I have zero experience of AVG its components or settings - having used Avast for over 20 years.
