Opinion Outpost: virus from confirmation e-mail?

Hey guys. I decided to sign up for that website and I didn’t receive the confirmation e-mail immediately. Maybe after about 5 minutes.

The thing is, anytime I access the confirmation link avast blocks the website because identifies the link like an infection with JS:Agent-CKL [Trj].

The website sounds legit though.

Post screenshot of the warning popup or write down all it say

Here it is: http://i65.tinypic.com/11gsio7.png

The ‘Insert Image’ button doesn’t work (at least for me).

is that the link you got in the mail (the one on your picture)

copy the link from your mail and scan it here >> https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/

probably a false positive and i guess difficult to check if it require log in …

I can confirm FP detection which has been already fixed.

I don’t know if it’s false positive or not but when I try to log in using my computer it says ‘check your username and password’ which is ridiculous because I confirmed the account from my smartphone.

It makes me think Avast! doesn’t want me to log in to OpinionOutpost.

Try to run a manual update, reboot computer and try again

The post above yours is from an Avast Team member (savcin), he confirms it is an FP and that is should already be fixed, either in a streaming or virus definitions update…

I’ve read this pointed out previously, but it would be advantageous and I think appropriate if Avast Team members had that shown by their name, otherwise how do users really know this advice/post is credible??? ???

Yes, unfortunately when they setup their new avast forum account, there is no way they can associate the forum status as Avast Team. That I believe has to be done by Admin or a Moderator with those privileges.

lol I’m sure however it’s not Rocket Science.

If your email address ends in @avast.com, it should trigger the Avast logo
