Outlook 2003 - Avast Spam add-on and toolbar missing

It was there yesterday but today it has gone. The Avast splash screen appears when I open Outllook but the toolbar is missing so I cannot mark spam (of it is working).
I used Outlook Detect and Repair but to no avail and I cannot find where to manage or restore the add-on in outlook 2003.

Help PLEASE

Try

Outlook 2003 > Help > About > Disabled items.

The first place I looked and there were no disabled add-ons

Is your email shield enabled? Review its settings again. For your next post, please provide more info.

Which avast edition (Free / Pro / AIS)? Version?

OS? x32/x64? SPx?

Other security tools or recent updates (from MS, this week)?

Avast is Internet Security ver120217-0

Spam filter is enabled - I even switched it off and back on again. It IS analysing my emails according to the antispam screen.

Yes Microsoft did install updates yesterday. Having checked the update history there was one for Outlook details as below the rest were Windows security updates

Well then, that may explain why several user are reporting issues between avast and several different Outlook versions.

This is for avast’s developers to have a look at it.

Thanks - at least I know I am not alone (or going crazy!)

Hi Susan,
can you try to reinstall Avast and let me know if the problem still persists ?
Thanks,
Ivan.

Ok Ivan I will do that but I need the latest program. Can you give me a download link please for AIS

http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_ais.exe

Thanks for that. I cannot do anything today as I need to remain connected to the internet but I will get around to it.

I was about to disconnect from the internet and re-install AIS but the program wanted to update so I let it

Now on rel 7 and the spam toolbar has reappeared in Outlook.

Having the same issue. Uninstalled Avast and reinstalled yesterday… worked for a short time and then disappeared.
