since Wednesday my outlook 2007 hangs when it wants to run outlook 2007. When I disable “outlook/exchange” there is no problem, if it is enabled again (when outlook is openend) it hangs again. 
Any one else the same problem?
The windows log only tells that outlook has hang itself, avast log doesn’t tell that there is a problem.
What is the exact version of avast! (e.g. 4.8.1169) you have installed?
the 4.8.1169; i noticed also that when i want to do a scan it doesn’t work; cant start installation engine. As a standard mesure I used a repair installation and I rebooted ==> seems to work fine now; probably a miss load or a damaged item that was fixed bij the repair.

That’s quite strange…
Anyway, if the problem appears again, please try to dump the Outlook process to a file, as described here (just substitute “ashSimpl.exe” → “Outlook.exe”).
