Outlook 2010 add in and toolbar missing

Out of the blue today my outlook 2010 Avast spam toolbar is missing. I tried repairing a couple of times with no luck. The add in is there I just cant enable it. I got it working at one point but the toolbar in the ribbon was still missing. I restarted outlook and then the add in was disabled again. Any ideas?

Check if avast Mail Shield is working (enabled / active).

Yes it is enabled and active.

I uninstalled AIS and re-installed. I also deleted the reg key for the add-in. The toolbar is back and the add-in is working now. Cause for the issue is unknown …
