Outlook email subject line erroneously changed by AntiSpam 7.0.1466

I updated to Avast Internet Suite, 7.0.1466 & am experiencing the changed Subject line from AntiSpam on two different systems, one with Outlook 2010 64-bit & the other with Outlook 2003 32-bit.

I ran ScanPST to repair the Outlook files on both Outlook 2010 & Outlook 2003. I assumed that the changing Subject line was related to corrupt linkages within the PST. The PST files (both POP3 & IMAP) has a large number of errors. I’ve attached the POP3 repair log.

Once repairs were completed, I restarted the systems, let Outlook run awhile, exited Outlook, & ran ScanPST again. The PST files once again had errors.

It appears that the Avast AntiSpam plugin is corrupting the PST files. :frowning:

I am also having this problem. It has become a very bad situation since I use the SEARCH function frequently to locate many items in the SENT FOLDERS. With the subject line no longer VALID, it really can cause a lot of extra effort to locate a file using the SEARCH function. >:(

I am also experiencing this problem…just seemed to start last week. Will not allow me to change the subject line back to the original subject matter…although I can change a forwarded e-mail to whatever I want. Big problem as I count on being able to search my Outlook e-mails by subject in the “sent folder”. The original subject shows OK, but changes as soon as I open the sent mail.

running AVast 7.0.1466

I’m having the same issue when I click on my sent emails in outlook 10 the Spam Reminder gets added to the subject line.

Is there a fix yet for this problem from AVAST???

The current beta build 7.0.1468 has this resolved, see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=106303.0 for more information.

If you are unwilling to use a beta build (though this one is quite stable) then you will have to wait for the regular program update to be released.
