Outlook receiving but not sending

Hi I just downloaded the free version. Problem is my Outlook receives mail but wont send it. I have to send by going to my my ISP webmail and send from there.

I have done a scan but the found nothing.

Can you help?

We need more info to help you:

  1. Which is your operational system?

  2. Which firewall do you use?

  3. Are the smtp (outbound) mail being scanned by avast? Did you ask so into avast settings?

  4. To troubleshoot this, please insert the line
    Log=20
    to file C:\Program Files\ALWIL Software\Avast4\Data\avast4.ini under [MailScanner] for detailed logging.
    Then send one mail (or retrive mail if incoming mail is the problem), which will generate the log file. After that, post the last lines of the log file C:\Program Files\ALWIL Software\Avast4\Data\log\aswMaiSv.log. Thanks.
