Outpost FW rule for davidR or others

Hi, I’m trying to create a system wide rule in outpost 2008 to block a specific ip address . The ip is comodo’s trust logo that appears on their forum pages. I’ve duplicated as near as I can in outpost the rule that I use in kerio 2.1.5 which works great in kerio.
Attached is a screenshot of my rule for each fw. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong. Thanks, tim

my outpost rule.

I’m not using Outpost 2008, currently I’m sticking to the last version (even though I have a lifetime license so the upgrade would cost me nothing) I don’t really thing 2008 is fully ready.

I don’t know if you need to specify the remote port, if you did it would only apply to those ports.

I also don’t know if you need to specify the packet type, you didn’t or what that packet type would be Local, Transit or NAT. Or if leaving it undefined would by default include all packet types, ah leaving it undefined fails and I get a Red entry stating it needs defining.

I don’t know if that it what is happening for you or if the rules are the same for 2008.

thank you for your reply DavidR. I think I have it figured out. Instead of 1 global rule the ip has to be edited per application or in my case each browser.Working well now.

Glad you have it sorted.
