overwrite avast settings every......setting

Hi,

I recently installed and am setting up the Avast Endpoint Protection Suite. In the Enterprise Admin console under the computer catalog settings, under service, what does the setting “overwrite avast settings every…” do? If this is set to 30 minutes, does this just mean that it will check every 30 minutes for changes to the computer settings and push them down if needed, or does it mean something else? Settings that I set, I don’t want them to be over-ridden.
