paid avast anti virus leaks ip when using vpn

I have to disable my antivirus to be able to use my VPN. Considering I am using a paid version I find this very annoying ( in addition to all the sales pitches every time I turn the antivirus back on) . There doesn’t seem to be a support chat or email address, this forum being the only option to attempt to get advice ( current own advice being to get a different anti virus program) . Bright ideas how to fix this? Not sure what I am actually paying for…

-Which VPN?

  • Which Avast…? (Pro/IS/Premier)
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

You shouldn’t have to disable Avast AIS?, Premier? to use your VPN but see this post here for a possible resolution: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=225200.0

Appears it may be necessary to uninstall your paid version and VPN, and then install VPN (Avast?) first and then the paid product. Reboot after each change.

[EDIT:] ASB also leaks Web RTC IP address if not set properly, could you be seeing this flaw in ASB or other browsers? If so which ones?

at the time Bob i needed an answer fast for data protection for work so i used what you posted above. the live chat just hung so the only other option was next to it, email.
