Does the Panda Cloud Anti Virus conflict with avast? I was told it does not because it uses the cloud, but I want to be sure.
Yes, it conflicts. It can’t be installed side by side with avast: the setup blocks it.
I have used Avast! for 2 years now. Sometimes I try other AV’s but always go back to Avast!
I downloaded Panda Cloud free with no problem, Avast! was installed and running. When I rebooted after installation, my computer just hung on start up page.
Went into safe mode and uninstalled Panda. Everything OK again.
it may conflict, yes, but it can’t be installes side by side with avast ??? no problem here I did it a while ago 
Panda did a change to the Cloud AV so that it did not check for other AV’s when it was installed
But PBust could not guarantee the result in all cases
:o My laptop recently failed while using Avast Internet Security. I wound up getting a used Acer TravelMate 4200 with Win7 Home and MS Office Enterprise 2007. Panda was already installed. I called Avast to help with reinstall of AIS and asked if i needed to uninstall the Panda. The tech, Rasham in India, said no and proceeded to walk me through a new install. All is working well so far. Only 2 days old as of February 1,2011.u
The old system crashed with multiple trojan hits (3 or 4). I had delayed upgrading the program as i was going to replace the hard drive on payday. [Probably Big Mistake.]
When i tried to remove the Trojans a screen came up asking for $50 to activita the System Tool. I did not like this since i had purchased the 3 license/2year bundle in September 2010. It is also interesting that Rashiam tried to sell 1yr of support for $139.00. I refused and he proceeded with the new install on the replacement pc. I asked him about the System Tool and he advised it was part of the attack. I have had great luck with Avast Free and this is the second problem with Avast Internet Security. Both times i let the updates lag behind and tried to do some heavy surfing and suffered as a result. I now believe it is crucial to keep the program and data updates current.
