Until there, you can use www.k9webprotection.com (completely compatible with avast!).
If you’re using Windows Live Essentials, it has a built in Parental Control Module.
Yup , Windows already provides an excellent set of tools for controlling time limits and content type accessed which can be set up for individual profiles/user accounts.

The other great system to use is OpenDNS ( runs at router level) which controls content by category and has site white / blacklisting and will go a long way to protecting your systems from malware/phishing/malicious sites. Filtering can be switched off whenever you need to.
Stats are provided which will show what has been blocked and also what access attemptshave been made by your family so you can see what they are trying to look at.
