Password and New Phone

I just activated a new phone and installed my Avast apps. I see that Avast Password can no longer be downloaded or licensed, but is available to those that had previously purchased it. I have used it for years and depend on it, but how can I continue to use Password on my new phone if I can’t download the app?

The Avast website describes the replacement as “Breach” but doesn’t do a very good job of saying how it replaces Password or interacts with Avast Mobile, Secure Browser, or Clean Up. Does Breach replace any of these or it another add on that jumps the price up?

I’ve reported your post to Avast.
Let’s see if that helps.
There usually isn’t any direct response from Avast during the weekend.

Hi,

If you previously had the app installed on your (old) Android/iOS device, you can reinstall Avast Passwords. Please follow this guide https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Install-Passwords/ to install Avast Passwords on your new phone.
(There is currently no replacement for Avast Passwords.)

Followed your link and no bueno. Avast Password is no longer in Play Store. I found Avast Password at AKPure.com, downloaded and installed. It took three tries to sync and now works fine. What is Avast thinking? Avast Password is the center of Avasts products, without it they are just another internet security vendor of which there are hundreds.

You didn’t make a wise choice. Better read this,

Sounds pretty bad, hopefully Avast Security can handle any trojan. Maybe Avast should have made an Avast Passwords download available to it’s long term costumers.

It’s a discontinued product. It was never a standalone download.

Hi,

Did you look under “Not installed” apps in “Manage apps and device”? For this to work, you also need to use the same Google account email address as on your old phone.

Yes to all. Thanks

New Coke…Never said it was standalone, just that it was a good product.

Yes to all. Thanks

Hi,

I just tested it and Avast Passwords is still available under “Not installed” apps.
