When ı want change settings, ask password but ı lost my password, what can ı do?
Uninstall, restart, install, restart, configure and register…
I know this is not the place to post this, but I have spent a lot of time looking for a link that says “new post” and I cannot find it. Maybe I’m blind, but… I hope a moderator will help me.
I honestly was thinking that I should get the paid Avast, since I have been using the free version quite a while with no problems. No problems until I tried to communicate with Avast today.
The scenario: I was responding to some offers emailed to me by ArcaMax.com when Avast alerted me to a malware problem. When I clicked on some link on the Avast interface, it commandeered the open window instead of opening a new one. This is not good.
That is the initial reason for my interaction with you today, but it gets worse. I tried to access the forums, registered, couldn’t find how to post, in spite of the “News: Please feel free to ask any question about avast!” that appears. So then I tried the Avast customer support. “Please register”. I registered successfully, responded to the email, returned to the technical support page, tried to contact, and got the reply “Registration required”. Repeatedly.
I have no problem paying for a service such as Avast’s antivirus, which has proved to be effective, but I do have a problem with services that find a thousand ways to frustrate the user’s attempt to communicate with them. So now I’ll cross my fingers and hope that this brings some kind of result, and if not, it will probably be “Goodbye, Avast” and “Hello, Panda”.
