I had a hard time getting Avast to accept my new password.
I tried over and over and every one that I tried was rejected.
Clearly there are conditions for acceptable passwords that are not explained.
Can anybody tell me what they are?

I had so much trouble getting a new password that was necessary after this forum got hacked. I guess something got lost.
Here is my request for help that has gone unanswered!
Your software would not accept the new password I entered even though it was more than the required 7 characters long.
it seems that there are other criteria than length that need to be fulfilled, but you dont say what they are.
I use “Password Safe” to manage my passwords and generate new (strong) ones, but they, the strong passwords dont seem to work in avast.
I have after much struggle managed to make one up myself that Avast will accept. It should not be so difficult.
It was advised to choose a new password, not required.
Password Safe? Why not use the human brain?
