Hi,
This issue occurs when running AV UI version 1.0.659. Our developers are looking into this issue.
As a workaround, please use the browser extension of Avast Passwords to edit Avast Passwords data.
Go to the respective website >click on the Passwords icon (top-right of the browser) > Move the mouse cursor over the desired Passwords entry and click “Details”. Then click “Edit”.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
looking forward to this being resolved
Same problem here…
I just subscribed to my ultimate version…
Hope avast could fix this soon.
I have the same problem as many others. I also find it happens when trying to add a new account Not being a 'techie 'I would appreciate a plain English instruction as to how this problem can be resolved from the Avast experts, Please!! Thank you. Harry
Hi there,
as you can read above, the developers are already working on resolving this issues. I have the problem as well, though for the time being, there’s not a whole lot we can do other than wait until a fix is out.
Toodles.
Same here. Avast has been trying to overcome its hundreds of bugs. Annoying!
Same problem here. I really don’t understand why there are so many problems when updates are made.
Do you not have people who test the system when updates are made? It seems like we are to be guinea pigs while we are trying to work.
Passwords are kind of essential. :-\
My neighbor gave me this fix for my desktop with windows 10;
“I had the same annoying issue. It is easy to fix. Go to control panel, programs and features, click on Avast, then click uninstall, then click repair. It only takes a minute or so and fixes the issue.”
This worked for both of my computers just last night, on one of the computers I had to run the repair twice.
Edit to add; I didn’t uninstall Avast, just clicked uninstall, then the option to repair popped up and I selected repair.
Leonard.
I tried skipping some steps of your solution, Leonard 119, just to see if it might work, and at least for me, there was no need to uninstall and reinstall - just selecting ‘repair’ fixed the problem! Thank you so much, I’m so relieved to have that sorted and working properly now! Say thank you to your neighbour for me!
Hi Siavahda,
Thanks for responding, and I’ll definitely thank my neighbor.
I didn’t uninstall Avast, just clicked uninstall, then the option to repair popped up and I selected repair.
I edited my previous post.
@ Leonard 119
Why did you change the “Topic Name” ??
There’s more than one way to do a repair.

@schmidthouse
I only changed the topic name to prevent anyone from misunderstanding the fix I posted.
I used repair and it fixed the problem for a day or two and now I am having the same problem again
Hi ablwat,
My problem returned last night also.
My neighbor gave me instructions to do the repair again, this time through the Avast Menu, and it worked.
From the email he sent me;
“My Avast passwords window screwed up again Sunday night. This time I went to Avast Menu, Settings, Troubleshooting, Repair App. It repaired the window view just like before. It is a little annoying that it continues to require repair but at least it’s easy to repair.”
Problem for me as well. Only half visible. Started about the 17th of August.
