pausing avast

hi all
can you help please as tried calling but continuously on hold…24/7?

I’m trying to download an exe file
but avast keeps stopping it and don’t give me any ok to let it run

how do I pause avast so I can download the file, only need to download it once etc

help appreciated

There is usually a good reason when avast block!

What does avast message say when blocking?

Don’t complain if infected. Right click on avast tray icon, manage shields and pause shields
