I note that when in ‘Pay Mode’ my taskbar icons are greyed out.
When banking, I often access the internet by using a VPN (CyberGhost) as an extra security measure.
This icon is also greyed out when using ‘Pay Mode’. Does this mean that my computer is not now accessing the internet via CyberGhost even though I’d previously activated it?

No. Your whole desktop is grayed out when you are in Pay mode because in fact you are on completely separated desktop. This is the pay mode desktop. If you switch to another app or to some other tab in the browser, your normal desktop will be working again.
Next version of the Pay mode will have more visible differentiation.
Well I have tried everything to get my pay mode operating when logging into my bank but it just comes up error absolutely pevvved off when you have a important transaction to complete 
tried the update etc even uninstalled safe zone then I have DNS ERROR not happy how can i resolve this
