PC Auto Shutdown On Scan Completion

Avast-Free—V19.3.2369 (build 19.3.4241.445)
OS—Win 8.1 PRO

In Avast “Settings”>”Protection” there is an option to have your PC turn off when
The scan has been completed.

My PC will not shut down, with this option selected, when scan is completed in either Smart Scan or Full Scan.

Any and all assistance in correcting this problem is appreciated.

Repair Avast:

  1. Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
  2. Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Thanks much for the quick reply. Performed your suggestion with no success, also reset to default settings and deleted
and reinstalled. All to no success.

I believe that if I upgraded to Premium and spent much more money on all their add-ons it may work.

So, to eliminate wasted time for us both, please disregard any further action. I can certainly live with what I got.

I can confirm that this does not work on the premier version either.

Might be a bug, wait for one of the devs and/or submit a ticket: https://support.avast.com/contact (paid versions)

I’m sorry for the slow reply, but the issue has been identified and is currently resolved in the latest Beta. The fix should be included in the next release of the AV.
