Pc freezes and wont boot in safe mode

Hello

After leaving my pc in sleep mode for a couple hours, I came back and started it. As soon as it showed the desktop it froze followed by a blue screen.
It restarted automatically and asked for a bootmedia. After shutting it down and then starting it again, it froze after the login screen.
Afterwards I entered safe mode and tried a system recovery, but it would not help. Then I tried to do a system recovery again, but this time via the bootmenu. This time I got a message that it could not complete it because a file couldn’t be found (something of superantispyware). But after restarting i couldn’t acces safe mode anymore, it froze at the message aswRvrt.sys. Now my pc starts but when I try to run a virusscan with avast or try to acces internet with firefox, it freezes followed by a blue screen. I have also tried to activate a bootscan with avast, but it would never do it after a restart.

Please help me

I forgot to mention it in the original post, but I also got a message once when my pc would go to desktop, that PMB.exe was corrupt and I should run a CHKDSK. Running this CHKDSK I saw a lot of errors with $I30 and orphaned files.

Avast does not like system restore unless self defence is disabled. First try a repair of Avast

Go to control panel > programmes and features
Select Avast
Select repair
Reboot and see if the problem has cleared

First of all, thanks for responding.

I tried to do as you said, but after I clicked uninstall/change (didn’t see repair) nothing happened and after a while I got a blue screen.
My pc restarted after the blue screen and asked for bootmedia.

tried to do as you said, but after I clicked uninstall/change (didn't see repair)
Did you scroll down/up in the pop-up box?

By popup-box, do you mean when i right click it?
The only option there is uninstall/change.

Since the repair wouldn´t work, I tried to use the programs you listed in the “logs to assist in cleaning malware” topic. I tried to run it from a usb stick as my pc freeze when I try to use a webbrowser. After inserting the usb stick my pc froze followed by a blue screen. Then I tried to do the FRST scan, but the reatogo bootup bluescreened on the windows xp loading screen.

This sounds as though you may have a hardware issue. How long can you run in normal mode before it freezes

Im going to test that now.
Should I just leave it on or shoould i do some stuff?

Because I notice that my pc is slower and previous times I got blue screens when trying to use firefox, plugging in an usb stick and going to my computer etc or trying to run a virusscan.

Lets have a quick look to see if there is a conflict

Download OTL to your Desktop
Secondary link

[*]Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/73555776/OTL_Main_Tutorial.gif

[*]Select All Users
[]Select LOP and Purity
[
]Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

netsvcs
BASESERVICES
%SYSTEMDRIVE%*.exe
c:\program files (x86)\Google\Desktop
c:\program files\Google\Desktop
dir “%systemdrive%*” /S /A:L /C
CREATERESTOREPOINT

[*]Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
[*]When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
[*]Attach both logs

My pc would always crash before I could run OTL.
So I decided to unplug my internet. This made me able to run the scan.
One odd thing though, once I unplugged my internet, my pc wouldn’t recognize my usb stick anymore.
So I transfered the logs via a cd.

When my pc was unplugged from the internet it ran a lot faster.

Could you uninstall Pando Media Booster please

On completion of this reconnect the internet and let me know if there is an improvement

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

]post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

I uninstalled pando media booster and reconnected to the internet.
Then I started Firefox which ran for a few seconds. Suddenly Firefox closes and I see that my whole desktop and start menu has been cleared (all icons except recycle bin are gone).
When i tried to open Firefox again, I got a message saying it has been removed or relocated.

I haven’t run the OTL fix yet

I rebooted my system. When connected to the internet it blue screens after login in, but before the icons on my desktop and my taskbar are shown.
When unplugged from the internet, it start normally and shows my normal desktop including icons and start menu.

Should I run the OTL fix while not connected to the internet?

Run the OTL fix and JRT once you have done that then reconnect to the net

Here are the logs, I’m now going to reconnect to the net

Edit: it runs a little bit better now, but still very slow. When I try to run the OTL for a scan, my desktop and taskbar disappear followed by a blue screen.
Edit 2: It seems to do this for every program I try to run. Sometimes I don’t even get a blues screen, but my pc just reboots and then asks to insert bootmedia. After a shutdown and then start it loads windows normally

Could you run a check disc please… Details here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2641432
Ensure that you check repair errors

I have run the check disk. But my pc still wont function normally when connected to the internet

OK next step we will check your drivers and connections

Download and Install Combofix

Download ComboFix from one of the following locations:
Link 1
Link 2

VERY IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • IMPORTANT - Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link here

[*]Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
[*]Accept the disclaimer and allow to update if it asks

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/ried7/NSIS_extraction.png

[*]When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
[*]Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Notes:

  1. Do not mouse-click Combofix’s window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
  2. Do not “re-run” Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

Here’s the combofix log.
A far as I can tell there is no improvement yet.

Edit: It seems my pc now won’t load the taskbar and desktop icons anymore, when internet is plugged in.
Without internet, it runs normal

Can you now disable the Avast security plugin for IE and see if that helps
