pc is acting strange

I have been battling sine June 26 on a pc xp sp3/2gb/250G - was using free and upgraded to professional version. Symptoms are:

  1. runs ok for a day or so after cleaning, and then POW… something repaints pixels across bottom of start screen and I have my task manager open to kill svchost running 300+Mb and keeping system 100 busy. WHen I kill pocess machine returns to normal. Same problem, but AVAST has found and killed what it suggests as different issues each time. Win32:Malware-Gen is the latest find.

  2. I moved it to my chest. I have turned off system restore and performed a boot scan, and then after complete, I turn system restore back on.

  3. starting to try my patience… Has found Other:Malware-Gen, (Loaderx.class,google.class,f.class,email.class)Other:Malware-Gen, (execservice.class)Java:Agent-AR, and (6to4v32.dll)Win32:Malware-Gen, from July 30,2010 to present

  4. Been very careful with surfing…

  5. Same thing happens with svchost (the one performing Net services:Found this out from using Process Explorer from MS) going over 300M RAM and blacked out pixels across Start button and blue applications bar across bottom of screen.

PLS help! :o Thanks in advance for all your time in this matter, ;D

i had the same problem,i couldn’t even run malwarebytes,i formatted my pc and now i can run malware bytes and my pc is even better, dunno what was the problem,MAYBE you have too many viruses in your pc.download mbam( http://www.malwarebytes.org/ ) run a full scan to make sure that you’r pc is clean

install mbam,update,scan

i have no idea about hijackthislog

but this is weird, O23 - Service: WPEServ - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Common Files\WPE\wpeserv.exe

i googled it i saw results like : WPEServ eats the ram, maybe that’s why your pc is slow

I would suggest uninstall avg if you have it installed, especially if you have avast installed.
And it does look like you do Avast installed…so

Then remove only these with hjt with no other browsers or windows open.

O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - (no file)

Then run this TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer

Post a new hjt log after restart and give more info about any problems you know of, in the best detail you can.

The pixels thing sounds like a video driver issue.
Make sure the video driver is up to date.
