Not sure what happened between last night and today but I am running Secure browser Version 89.1.9140.129 (Official Build) (64-bit) and sites are loading very slowly. This is not the case when running FireFox, Edge or Chrome. Will try to uninstall and reinstall but wanted to see if others were having issues (aside from Adblock not working) that started in the last 24 hours.
Update to the latest version which should help.
To je, this is just an amplification of the issue I reported here
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=235546.0
First it did not get any attention from Avast, now it got noticed, but there is no feedback about whether the developers are fixing this.
Slowly, I am changing all my computers to use Edge.
PS: I do not understand the previous comment, it seems to suggest to update to the latest version of ASB, but this is precisely the one that amplified the issue.
New ASB version is now 90, no longer 89 that you say is slow. See https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=261375.0
I got ASB 90 today. The performance seems to be better, but the other issue that many webpages’ scripts just freeze (webpage no longer react on clicking on the controls) is still there.
Adblock is not yet fixed either.
Terrible. If the performance got any better with the 90 version, now after another “upgrade” to higher subversion, the pages again take ages to load. What is in Edge within 1 second, needs almost 10 seconds in the latest ASB. What are they doing in Avast?
I tried ASB again with the LTE connection. While Edge load all testing webpages within 1 second, ASB needs about 5 minutes.
Why Avast ignores this serious issue?
