Permanently remove Avast trusted CA from certificate store

I have configured Avast to not intercept SSL packets from the web browser and mail client. I would like to remove the Avast trusted CA from the certificate store since it is no longer needed and represents a potential security issue. I can manually remove the trusted CA entry but it reappears when I restart the PC.

Is there a way to keep Avast from reinstalling the trusted CA when it restarts?

No as far as I know.
avast needs it in order to be able to scan ssl/tsl traffic.

The real security issue is what you did.
Disabling ssl scanning.
